Ditalini & Italian Flatbread

Ditalini is a short little tube pasta, often call little macaroni or salad pasta. It is quick cooking, which makes it great for one pot pasta dishes where the pasta is cooked with the sauce. And also great for pasta salads – as we will see later in the summer.

The nice thing about this is not only is it a complete freezer grab, it is pretty much just thrown everything into the pot and let it go. So I made a quick Italian flat bread to go along with. Also used it later as a base for a (link) chicken pesto pizza.

Breakfast – Bacon Egg Hashbrown

Lunch – Corned Beef Chowder

I have always cooked, I was that person who could make a meal from an empty fridge. I have lived alone and with large and small families, I have cooked for camps on wood stoves, and in professional kitchens. I have lived and worked all over the west from Montana, to Seattle to Arizona to San Diego. I have traveled, maybe not 'all over the world', yet, and have collected tastes recipes and techniques everywhere, and every one I meet.
