Take a slice from the onion – I used the smaller one. Then lay it on the flat side and make cuts around the outside and cut around the core.
Smash chop a garlic clove, and clean & chop the peppers.
Brown the ground beef, then stir in the onions and peppers.
Remove a serving of mixed veggies from the bag. I have found that once these are opened it is best to place the opened bag into a resealable freezer bag.
Add about 1/2 cup BBQ sauce to the ground beef mixture, reduce heat, simmer on low for 10 minutes.
Toast an English muffin and top with the sloppy joe meat.
I have always cooked, I was that person who could make a meal from an empty fridge. I have lived alone and with large and small families, I have cooked for camps on wood stoves, and in professional kitchens. I have lived and worked all over the west from Montana, to Seattle to Arizona to San Diego. I have traveled, maybe not 'all over the world', yet, and have collected tastes recipes and techniques everywhere, and every one I meet.
