Granola & Yogurt

You can buy a million of those little cups of yogurt, and throw a million little cups away. Or you can DIY it. Most of those little cups can be replicated with two basic ingredients, real ingredients. Plain full fat yogurt – which also has a wide variety of uses, and jam, which also has a wide variety of uses.

Plain full fat greek yogurt, strawberry jam, a banana, and some granola for crunch.
Scoop up a serving of yogurt – with the jam, banana, and granola doesn’t take much. Then with a CLEAN spoon. Never cross contaminate!
Scoop out some jam, you will find your own correct ratio, depending on how sweet, from the jam, and tart from the yogurt you like.
Add banana, or other fruit, or not, and granola. Perfect! Usually it is just yogurt, jam, and granola. Or granola and milk, with jam, honey or sugar. People forget that jam is just another sweetener. It has been a way to preserve summer fruits forever.

I have always cooked, I was that person who could make a meal from an empty fridge. I have lived alone and with large and small families, I have cooked for camps on wood stoves, and in professional kitchens. I have lived and worked all over the west from Montana, to Seattle to Arizona to San Diego. I have traveled, maybe not 'all over the world', yet, and have collected tastes recipes and techniques everywhere, and every one I meet.
