Maple Brown Sugar Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are simple easy, particularly if I’m working I can whip up a batch and have it ready in the fridge for a few days breakfast’s. Sometimes I will micro it for 30 seconds or so for a hot breakfast or just fine cold too – certain flavors lend more towards heating and of course the weather. This one is classic and can go either way. I usually make a batch of three servings, and break it up with one savory breakfast in between. So this will be B11-12-14.

Oats, yogurt, brown sugar, maple syrup, milk.
1/3 Cup plain yogurt.
2/3 Cup milk. 2 Tablespoons brown sugar & 2 Tablespoons Maple syrup.
Mix the liquid thoroughly breaking up the yogurt.
Add 1/2 cup old fashioned oats.
Stir to completely coat the oats with the liquid.
Divide into three containers, and refrigerate overnight – up to 5 days.
Stir and enjoy or heat for 30 seconds for warm oatmeal.

I have always cooked, I was that person who could make a meal from an empty fridge. I have lived alone and with large and small families, I have cooked for camps on wood stoves, and in professional kitchens. I have lived and worked all over the west from Montana, to Seattle to Arizona to San Diego. I have traveled, maybe not 'all over the world', yet, and have collected tastes recipes and techniques everywhere, and every one I meet.
