Granola with banana

Granola is cheap and easy to make, I make a batch about once a month. You can change it up however you like. Maple brown sugar, dried fruits and nuts. If you look at prices of store bought, and how easy it is to make, and long lasting, why would you not. Simple ingredients, and no preservatives – win win … and tasty win!

Store your homemade granola in an airtight container on the counter.
Grab a bowl and a banana
Peel and slice the banana into the bowl.
Top with a handful of the homemade granola.
Add milk. Viola!
You can add jam, maple syrup, or honey if you want more sweetness, but for me the sweet of the banana and the granola are enough.

I have always cooked, I was that person who could make a meal from an empty fridge. I have lived alone and with large and small families, I have cooked for camps on wood stoves, and in professional kitchens. I have lived and worked all over the west from Montana, to Seattle to Arizona to San Diego. I have traveled, maybe not 'all over the world', yet, and have collected tastes recipes and techniques everywhere, and every one I meet.
