Bacon cheeseburger

Sometimes you just need a burger. With bacon. And cheese.

1/4 lb thawed burger meat.
Sliced cheese, bag-o-bacon bits, English muffin, and some onion.
Cook the bacon and onion together in the trusty 8″ cast iron.
Remove to paper towel, retaining the fat in the pan.
Cook the burger patty on one side in the bacon fat.
Flip when a nice crust has formed.
Top with the cooked bacon and onion.
Then the cheese, and cover.
Toast and butter an English muffin, spread one side with ketchup.
And the other with mayo.
Put the bacon, cheese patty on top.
Add a salad and enjoy.
